Fequently Asked Questions
Before contacting us, please read the FAQ and please read the book, LifeNuts, which may answer many of your questions more completely than an email reply can.
Q. How can my community become involved?
A. Click this box.
Q. Why can’t I access the forms?
A. We would like an email from the mayor’s office of your city committing to this program. Once this is received, we will make the forms available. They are also listed in the book.
Q. I presented this program to our city council but they balked.
A. If you explained the benefits – saving city budget money, improving the health of residents, helping local companies become more profitable – and they still refused, consider discussing LifeNuts with their opponents in the next election. And go to the local media. Why should anyone not want a program to stamp out childhood obesity?
Q. When can my community be listed on your website?
A. After you have begun the LifeNuts program, which starts on registration day.
Q. Can our city get grants for this program?
A. Yes, the state components of AARP and local hospitals and health insurance companies are very interested in such health and longevity programs such as LifeNuts.
Q. Can we run the LifeNuts program without organizing a LifeNuts seminar?
A. Yes, you can. By reading the book, LifeNuts, your participants can learn the essentials of the program. But please consider holding the seminar. By recruiting local experts and professionals, you’ll engage them and their many contacts, helping the program to grow community-wide.
